Terms of Use

Read these before you use FaithGrind. They are written plainly. By using the app or website, you agree to them.

A Quick Note

We tried to make this readable. Some sections still use formal legal language because the law requires it for those clauses to hold up. This document is not legal advice. If you have questions about your legal rights, talk to a lawyer.

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Use form a binding agreement between you and Strong Associations LLC, doing business as FaithGrind ("FaithGrind," "we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account, downloading the app, subscribing, or using any part of FaithGrind, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service. If you are using FaithGrind on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

2. Eligibility

FaithGrind is built for adults. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use the service. By using FaithGrind you represent that you are 18 or older, you have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement, and you are not barred from using the service under the laws of your jurisdiction.

FaithGrind is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13 in compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal information, contact info@faithgrind.com and we will delete it.

3. Account Registration

To use FaithGrind you create an account. When you do, you agree to:

▸Keep your password and login credentials secure
▸Notify us immediately at info@faithgrind.com if you suspect unauthorized access
▸Use one account per person. Do not share, sell, or transfer your account
▸Take responsibility for all activity that happens under your account

You may delete your account at any time from in-app settings or by emailing info@faithgrind.com. Deletion removes your personal data as described in our Privacy Policy.

4. Subscription Terms

Plans Offered

FaithGrind offers monthly and annual auto-renewable subscriptions. Pricing is shown in the app or on faithgrind.com at the time of purchase. A free trial may be offered on some plans from time to time.

Auto-Renewal Disclosure

Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period (monthly or annually) at the then-current price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your payment method will be charged for renewal within 24 hours of the period ending. You can manage your subscription and turn off auto-renewal at any time.

Free trials, if offered, convert to a paid subscription automatically when the trial ends unless you cancel before then.

Pricing Changes

We may change subscription prices. If we do, we will give you at least 30 days' notice by email or in-app. New prices apply at your next renewal. If you do not agree, cancel before renewal.

iOS Subscriptions (Apple App Store)

If you subscribe through the iOS app, payment is charged to your Apple ID account. Subscriptions are managed by Apple. Renewals, cancellations, and refund requests must be handled through your Apple ID settings.

To cancel: open Settings on your iOS device, tap your name, tap Subscriptions, select FaithGrind, and tap Cancel Subscription.

Refunds for App Store purchases are governed by Apple's refund policies. FaithGrind does not control or process App Store refunds. Request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Web Subscriptions (Stripe)

If you subscribe through faithgrind.com, payment is processed by Stripe. We do not store your card details. To cancel, log in to faithgrind.com and use account settings, or email info@faithgrind.com.

Refund policy for web subscriptions: we offer a full refund within 30 days of your first paid subscription. After 30 days, or for renewal periods, we do not refund partial billing periods. Cancel any time and you keep access until the end of the current period.

Android Subscriptions (Google Play)

If you subscribe through Google Play, payment is charged to your Google account and managed through Google Play. Cancellations and refunds are governed by Google Play's policies.

5. Apple App Store Specific Terms

The following terms apply to use of the FaithGrind iOS app downloaded from the Apple App Store. They are required by Apple and are in addition to the rest of these Terms.

Acknowledgement

These Terms are between you and FaithGrind only, not with Apple Inc. ("Apple"). FaithGrind, not Apple, is solely responsible for the iOS app and its content.

Scope of License

The license granted to you for the iOS app is limited to a non-transferable license to use the app on any Apple-branded device that you own or control, as permitted by the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions. The app may be accessed and used by other accounts associated with you via Family Sharing or volume purchasing.

Maintenance and Support

FaithGrind is solely responsible for providing any maintenance and support services for the iOS app. Apple has no obligation to furnish maintenance or support.

Warranty

FaithGrind is solely responsible for any product warranties, whether express or implied by law, to the extent not effectively disclaimed. If the iOS app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any) for the app to you. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation whatsoever with respect to the app, and any other claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, or expenses attributable to any failure to conform to any warranty will be FaithGrind's sole responsibility.

Product Claims

FaithGrind, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims relating to the iOS app or your possession or use of it, including: (i) product liability claims; (ii) any claim that the app fails to conform to any applicable legal or regulatory requirement; and (iii) claims arising under consumer protection, privacy, or similar legislation.

Intellectual Property Rights

In the event of any third-party claim that the iOS app or your possession and use of the app infringes that third party's intellectual property rights, FaithGrind, not Apple, is solely responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement, and discharge of any such intellectual property infringement claim.

Legal Compliance

You represent and warrant that (i) you are not located in a country that is subject to a U.S. Government embargo or that has been designated by the U.S. Government as a "terrorist supporting" country; and (ii) you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.

Third-Party Beneficiary

You and FaithGrind acknowledge and agree that Apple and Apple's subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms, and that upon your acceptance of these Terms, Apple will have the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary of these Terms.

6. Acceptable Use

To keep FaithGrind safe and useful, you agree not to:

▸Break any law or use FaithGrind for illegal purposes
▸Harass, threaten, dox, or harm other users or our team
▸Post hate speech, sexually explicit content, or content that promotes self-harm
▸Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity
▸Upload viruses, malware, or any code intended to disrupt the service
▸Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the app
▸Scrape, crawl, or use bots to access the service
▸Bypass rate limits, paywalls, or any access control
▸Use FaithGrind output (including AI Coach responses) to train competing AI models
▸Resell, redistribute, or rent any part of the service or its content
▸Interfere with security, authentication, or measurement features

7. User Content

FaithGrind lets you submit content. This includes Win Wall posts, messages to the AI Coach, journal entries, profile information, and anything else you submit (collectively, "User Content").

You Own Your Content

You retain all ownership rights in your User Content. We do not claim ownership.

License to FaithGrind

You grant FaithGrind a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable license to host, store, reproduce, display, distribute, and modify your User Content solely as needed to operate, provide, and improve the service. For content you post publicly (such as the Win Wall), this license also covers showing it to other users. The license ends when you delete the content, except for backup copies retained for a reasonable time and content others have already shared.

Your Reps and Warranties

You represent that you own your User Content or have the rights to submit it, and that your User Content does not infringe anyone's intellectual property, privacy, or other rights, and does not violate any law.

Removal Rights

We may remove any User Content at any time, with or without notice, if we believe it violates these Terms or harms users or FaithGrind. You can report content or request takedown by emailing info@faithgrind.com.

DMCA Copyright Takedowns

If you believe content on FaithGrind infringes your copyright, send a DMCA takedown notice to our designated agent that includes: (1) your physical or electronic signature; (2) identification of the copyrighted work; (3) identification of the infringing material and its location on FaithGrind; (4) your contact information; (5) a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is unauthorized; and (6) a statement under penalty of perjury that the information is accurate and you are authorized to act for the copyright owner.

8. AI Coach Specific Terms

Not Therapy. Not Medical Advice.

The FaithGrind AI Coach (also called the Accountability Coach) is an AI-powered tool for goal tracking, habit accountability, and faith-based encouragement. It is not a licensed therapist, counselor, psychologist, doctor, sponsor, or crisis service. No professional or fiduciary relationship is created by using it. The AI Coach does not diagnose, treat, or prescribe anything.

In a Crisis, Get Real Help

If you are in crisis or thinking about harming yourself or others, do not rely on the AI Coach. Call or text 988 (Suicide and Crisis Lifeline), call SAMHSA at 1-800-662-4357, or call 911 (or your local emergency number) immediately.

AI Output Can Be Wrong

AI-generated responses can be inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading. Do not treat them as fact, professional advice, or doctrine. Use your own judgment and consult qualified professionals for medical, legal, financial, mental health, or spiritual counseling.

AI Training

We do not use your private conversations with the AI Coach, journal entries, or vault data to train third-party AI models. We may use anonymized, de-identified, or aggregated data to evaluate, debug, and improve the FaithGrind service. You can request deletion of your data at any time through account settings or by emailing info@faithgrind.com.

9. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and your rights. Read it at faithgrind.com/privacy. By using FaithGrind, you agree to our Privacy Policy.

10. Vault and Data Security

FaithGrind encrypts sensitive data in a personal vault tied to your account. This includes voice conversation transcripts and any data you choose to store.

▸Your vault data is encrypted with a key unique to your account
▸FaithGrind uses your vault data to personalize your experience, including AI Coach conversations and check-in context
▸We do not sell, share, or use your vault data for advertising
▸You can view your encrypted data by unlocking your vault with your passkey or passphrase
▸Deleting your account permanently removes all vault data within 30 days

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, FAITHGRIND DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ANY WARRANTIES ARISING FROM COURSE OF DEALING OR USAGE OF TRADE.

FAITHGRIND DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR HARMFUL COMPONENTS, OR THAT ANY CONTENT (INCLUDING AI COACH OUTPUT) IS ACCURATE, RELIABLE, OR COMPLETE. ANY MATERIAL OBTAINED THROUGH USE OF THE SERVICE IS ACCESSED AT YOUR OWN RISK.

12. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, FAITHGRIND AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATED TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100) OR (B) THE TOTAL AMOUNT YOU PAID FAITHGRIND IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT THAT GAVE RISE TO THE CLAIM. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF CERTAIN DAMAGES, SO SOME OF THE ABOVE LIMITATIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.

13. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless FaithGrind and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your use or misuse of the service; (b) your User Content; (c) your violation of these Terms; (d) your violation of any law or third-party right, including intellectual property, privacy, or publicity rights. FaithGrind reserves the right to assume the exclusive defense and control of any matter subject to indemnification by you, and you agree to cooperate with us in defending those claims.

14. Termination

You Can Leave Anytime

You can stop using FaithGrind and delete your account at any time through account settings or by emailing info@faithgrind.com.

We Can Suspend or Terminate

We may suspend or terminate your account, with or without notice, if you violate these Terms, abuse the service, or pose a risk to FaithGrind, our users, or our partners. We may also discontinue the service in whole or in part at any time.

Effects of Termination

On termination, your right to access the service ends. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including User Content licenses already granted to other users, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, dispute resolution, and miscellaneous.

15. Dispute Resolution and Arbitration

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY. THIS SECTION REQUIRES YOU TO RESOLVE DISPUTES BY BINDING INDIVIDUAL ARBITRATION AND WAIVES YOUR RIGHT TO A JURY TRIAL OR TO PARTICIPATE IN A CLASS ACTION.

Informal Resolution First

Before filing a claim, you and FaithGrind agree to try to resolve the dispute informally. Send a written notice to info@faithgrind.com describing the dispute and the relief sought. If we cannot resolve it within 60 days, either party may begin arbitration.

Binding Arbitration

Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the service that is not resolved informally will be settled by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules. The arbitration will be held in Alabama, or at another location agreed to by the parties, or by phone or video where allowed. Judgment on the award may be entered in any court of competent jurisdiction. The Federal Arbitration Act governs this section.

Class Action Waiver

YOU AND FAITHGRIND AGREE THAT EACH MAY BRING CLAIMS AGAINST THE OTHER ONLY IN YOUR OR ITS INDIVIDUAL CAPACITY, AND NOT AS A PLAINTIFF OR CLASS MEMBER IN ANY PURPORTED CLASS, COLLECTIVE, CONSOLIDATED, OR REPRESENTATIVE PROCEEDING. The arbitrator may not consolidate more than one person's claims and may not preside over any form of representative or class proceeding.

30-Day Right to Opt Out

You may opt out of arbitration and the class action waiver within 30 days of first accepting these Terms by mailing a signed written notice to: Strong Associations LLC, Attn: Legal, 2971 Elk Meadows Dr SE, Brownsboro, AL 35741. The notice must include your name, address, account email, and a clear statement that you are opting out. Opting out does not affect any other part of these Terms.

Small Claims Carve-Out

Either party may bring an individual claim in small claims court for disputes that qualify under that court's rules, instead of arbitration.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Alabama, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles, and by applicable federal law of the United States. For any dispute not subject to arbitration, you and FaithGrind agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Madison County, Alabama.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top. For material changes, we will give you at least 30 days' advance notice by email or in-app before the changes take effect. Continued use of FaithGrind after the effective date means you accept the new Terms. If you do not agree, stop using the service before the effective date.

17. Miscellaneous

Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any other terms referenced here, are the entire agreement between you and FaithGrind about the service and replace any prior agreements.

Severability

If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest stay in effect. The unenforceable part will be modified to the minimum extent needed to make it enforceable.

Force Majeure

FaithGrind is not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including acts of God, war, terrorism, riots, embargoes, government action, fire, flood, earthquake, pandemic, internet or utility outages, or third-party service failures.

Assignment

You may not assign or transfer these Terms or your account without our written consent. FaithGrind may assign these Terms without restriction, including to an affiliate or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

No Waiver

If we do not enforce a right under these Terms, that does not waive the right. Any waiver must be in writing.

Headings

Section headings are for convenience only and have no legal effect.

Notices

We may send notices to the email on your account or through the app. You agree that electronic notices satisfy any legal requirement that notice be in writing.

18. Service-Specific Disclaimers

Not Professional Advice

FaithGrind courses, content, and the AI Coach are for educational, faith-building, and accountability purposes only. They are not a substitute for licensed counseling, therapy, medical treatment, legal or financial advice, or recovery programs. If you need professional help, seek it from a qualified provider.

No Guarantees

We believe in the work, but we cannot guarantee specific results. Your progress depends on the work you put in. We provide tools and guidance. The rest is on you and God.

Service Availability

We do our best to keep FaithGrind running. We do not promise 100% uptime. Maintenance, outages, or unexpected issues may interrupt service.
