Cookie Policy

This policy explains how FaithGrind uses cookies. We kept it simple so you know exactly what is happening when you visit our site.

A Quick Note

This cookie policy is here to keep things transparent. It is not legal advice. If you have questions about cookies and your privacy rights, please consult a lawyer.

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files that get stored on your device (phone, computer, tablet) when you visit a website. They help the site remember who you are and what you prefer. Almost every website uses them.

First-Party Cookies

These come directly from FaithGrind. We use them to keep you logged in and remember your settings.

Third-Party Cookies

These come from other services we use, like Google Analytics or Stripe. They help us understand how people use the site and process payments safely.

2. Essential Cookies (Required)

These cookies are needed for FaithGrind to work. Without them, you would not be able to log in or use the platform. You cannot turn these off.

  • Authentication cookies that keep you logged in to your account
  • Session cookies that remember you as you move between pages
  • Security tokens that protect against cross-site attacks
  • Basic settings that make the site work properly

These cookies are set by FaithGrind and Supabase (our authentication provider).

3. Analytics Cookies

These cookies help us understand how people use FaithGrind so we can improve it. They collect information like which pages are most popular and how long people spend on the site. This data is anonymous and does not identify you personally. You can turn all of them off any time with the "Your Privacy Choices" link in the site footer.

Google Analytics (via Google Tag Manager)

Tracks page views, session duration, and general usage patterns. This helps us understand what is working and what needs improvement. Data is collected anonymously.

Microsoft Clarity (via Google Tag Manager)

Shows us how pages are used (heatmaps and session replays) so we can fix confusing layouts. Recording is paused on every page where you write or read personal recovery content, like check-ins and coach conversations.

Sentry

Tracks errors and bugs so we can fix problems fast. Only collects technical data when something goes wrong.

4. Marketing Cookies

These cookies help us understand how people find FaithGrind and whether our outreach is working. The "Your Privacy Choices" link in the site footer turns these off too.

Brevo

Helps us track whether emails we send lead to signups. This lets us know if our email outreach is helpful.

5. Other Third-Party Cookies

Some of the services we use may also set cookies:

Stripe

Sets cookies for secure payment processing and fraud prevention. These only activate on payment pages.

Vercel

Our hosting provider may set performance-related cookies to keep the site running fast.

6. How Long Do Cookies Last?

Session Cookies

These are temporary. They disappear when you close your browser.

Persistent Cookies

These stick around for a set period. Here is a general breakdown:

  • Authentication cookies: up to 30 days
  • Preference cookies: up to 1 year
  • Analytics cookies: up to 2 years

7. How to Manage Cookies

You can control which cookies are allowed through your browser settings. Here is how to do it in the most popular browsers:

  • Chrome

Settings > Privacy and security > Cookies and other site data

  • Firefox

Settings > Privacy & Security > Cookies and Site Data

  • Safari

Preferences > Privacy > Manage Website Data

  • Edge

Settings > Cookies and site permissions > Cookies and site data

Heads Up

If you block essential cookies, some parts of FaithGrind will not work properly. You might not be able to log in or access your courses.
